The Clinical LIMS product has been carefully designed to accomodate the complexity and diverse requirements of the various Clinical laboratory disciplines and therefore requires separate setup. Laboratory disciplines are generally split between three laboratory modules:
- Lab: Typical Clinical disciplines like Haematology; Biochemistry; Serology etc. is maintained in this module and is generally indicated with the abbreviation "L" in LIMS.
- Mic: Microbiology is maintained in this module and is generally indicated with the abbreviation "M" in LIMS
- Pth: Anatomical pathology e.g. Histology and Cyology is maintained in this module and is generally indicated with the abbreviation "P" in LIMS.
In addition to laboratory module specific setup, there are general setups to be completed.
